Dr. Posner was born in South Africa and graduated from the University of Witwatersrand Dental School in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1980. He practiced as a general dentist in private practice in South Africa prior to immigrating to the United States in 1992.

Dr. Posner has been serving dentists and their patients in the New Tampa and Carrollwood areas since 1996. He received his Advanced Graduate Endodontic training at Boston University in 1994 and a Master of Science in Dentistry in Endodontics at Boston University in 1995.

Dr. Posner was also awarded first place at the AAE meeting for Graduate Student Research for his research on cytokines in 1994. He served as President of the Hillsborough County Research Clinic from 2005 to 2006 and was an Associate Clinic Professor at the University of Florida Dental School in 2004. When not working, Dr. Posner can be found in the gym, running or cycling.

Joan is a graduate of Arizona State University, mother of four and avid Gator fan now that the family resides in Florida. Formerly from Lake Bluff, Illinois, the McKnight’s moved to Tampa in 1998 in a corporate transfer and haven’t missed the snow blower once. Joan’s interests include gardening, exercise, and her two Westies, Max and Josephine. Joan and her husband Ned enjoys movies, eating out and college football. Come football season, it’s a house divided between the Gators of Florida and the Volunteers of Tennessee. ‘All of our children have finished college and our oldest son just got married. Around our house it’s never a dull moment.”

I am a Certified Dental Assistant and have been in the dental field for 6 1/2 years. I like to spend my free time with my husband, Jeremy, and my two dogs, Savannah and Willie. I also enjoy cooking every chance that I get. I have lived in Florida since the age of five, and grew up in New Port Richey area and now reside in Dade City.

I have just recently graduated from the dental assisting program at Erwin Tech. I am excited about joining the team and look forward to expanding my knowledge in dentistry here at North Tampa Endodontics.

I enjoy going to the beach and in my free time I love playing softball.
